About Us

Graham Smith Antiques is situated in Jesmond, a leafy suburb of Newcastle upon Tyne (North East of England.) The business has been established since 1999, although Graham has been in the antiques trade for over 30 years, providing him with a wealth of experience and expert knowledge. Graham Smith Antiques specialises in furniture, although we also have clocks, glass, paintings, porcelain and metal ware from 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th century.

Graham Smith Antiques InteriorThe items you will find on this website are also displayed in our shop, which provides customers with 2,400 sq feet of space to search and select a diverse range of antiques, providing comprehensive choice for furnishing homes or businesses. Larger items are housed at our warehouse on the outskirts of the city, from which any international shipping is dispatched. We aim to provide a variety of pieces, many of which have been chosen for their interesting or unique nature. (Especially extraordinary or notable pieces can be found within the featured items section.) Should you require a particular item or specific sized piece please contact our dedicated team who will make note of your requirements and notify you should such an item materialise whilst Graham is on his travels. Our philosophy is “Excellence through consistent quality”; using our experience of the antiques trade Graham Smith Antiques provides customers with the knowledge and confidence that is necessary when buying antiques. Our products are all sourced and personally chosen by Graham, who travels the length and breadth of England and Scotland in search of high quality antiques.

Graham Smith Antiques InteriorGraham Smith Antiques is a member of both LAPADA (Antique Dealers Association) and CINOA (International Confederation of Traders in Works of Art), who implement a code of practice upon all their members. Additionally Graham Smith is a LAPADA director and was appointed in 2005. This position is an honour within the antiques trade, mainly due to the nature of the appointment. The procedure is that fellow LAPADA members nominate suitable candidates and the current board of directors vote in favour of the member they consider to be the most suitable and upstanding.
