Pair of Georgian Hepplewhite Arm Chairs

A pair of late 18th century Georgian mahogany Hepplewhite elbow chairs.

The chairs have a serpentine top rail and a pierced and carved broad central splat.

The arms are shaped and the four legs are joined by a 'H' shaped cross stretcher with an additional cross stretcher rail between the back legs.

The back rails and the front legs have a concave front profile with a reeded line to the edge.

The seats are green leather covered which is old but not original with brass studs along the lower edge.

The chairs have a good original colour to the mahogany and are in very good condition. (Circa 1795)
