A 17th century Charles II walnut cupboard chest.

The chest is made in two parts, the single drawer top lifting off the cupboard base.

The chest has a cushion front to the single drawer and a pair of cupboard doors with decorative raised panels to the sides and a gadrooned edge under the over hanging top.

Inside the doors are two long drawers with moulded bead fronts and oak linings, the ring handles have been put on in the Regency period.

The chest has had some wood worm in the past, though nothing major, which has been re-treated to ensure itis dead.

The chest overall is in good condition with a waxed polish, the lock for the cupboard does not work but the key is used to pull open the door. (Circa 1670)
