Georgian Style Slim Chest

A late 19th century Georgian style tall slim seven drawer chest.

The chest is in the style of a wellington chest but has no locking flaps.

The drawers are graduated in size with the deeper drawers at the base. Each drawer is oak lined and has mahogany fronts that have a cock bead edge, box wood line inlay and a broad chequered inlay.

The drawers have wonderful gilt brass rococo Chippendale design handles.

The chest stands on bracket feet and has a moulded edge top that is inlaid to match the drawer fronts.

This is a well made chest, period timbers having been used in it's construction, and is in very good condition.
