A set of early 19th century Regency mahogany three tread library steps.

The steps stand on six tapering turned mahogany legs with turned supports and cross rails.

The three treads have a rounded mahogany edge and an old carpeted step.

The steps are in original condition apart from the carpet on each step, which is old 20th century, that can be replaced with tooled hide if wanted, at an extra cost.

The steps came from the 'Hermitage Estate' in Hexham, Northumberland. (Circa 1830)
