Regency Rosewood Work Table

An early 19th century Regency rosewood drop leaf lady's work or sowing table.

The table has an oblong top with a beaded edge and two drop leaves that have a pair of shaped rosewood supports for each.

The pair of drawers have a cock bead edge, mahogany linings and brass knob handles with dummy drawers to the rear.

Beneath the two drawers is a material covered needlework compartment that slides forward for access.

The table stands on four rosewood short sabre legs with brass toes and casters.

The legs are attached to a circular platform which holds the octagonal centre column support.

The table is in very good condition, the needlework basket has been re-covered in the past and could be re-covered again. (Circa 1810)
