An early 20th century Arts and Crafts marquetry inlaid mahogany hall wardrobe by Shapland & Petters.

This wonderful quality wardrobe has a single door with embossed hinges and key hole escutcheon and two large marquetry inlaid panels.

The door is held between two angled triple panelled sections with matching inlays and has a carved frieze running along the lower edge.

The inside has a row of eight gilded brass hooks that slide along a supporting rail and four other fixed hooks to the back of each side panel. The interior also has a long shelf above the hanging rail of hooks.

The wardrobe is in very good original condition, the polish has been sympathetically restored. (Circa 1900)
