A fine example of a George IV mahogany cheval mirror in a Gillows style.

The original bevelled edge mirror plate is held in an oblong mahogany frame with a panelled mahogany back.

The mirror is suspended between a pair of pillars, veneered in 'fiddle back' mahogany and tapering from the base upwards.

The pillars have turned mahogany finials at the top with matching knobs holding the mirror.

The lower frame has a pair of platform bases standing on reeded bun feet with concealed brass casters.

There are four carved figure 'S' shaped supports at each side of the pillars with a tapering cross stretcher in-between the mirror supports.

The mirror is made from the finest mahogany and is in very good condition, the original mirror plate does have some spotting to the glass. (Circa 1830)
