A late 18th century Dutch kingwood veneered bombe shaped tea caddy.

The caddy has an oak carcase with vertical veneers around the body, is quarter veneered on the top and stands on shaped ogee feet.

The interior has three tin and brass canisters, the two outer canisters for tea and the centre one for sugar.

The caddy has a gilded brass swing handle on the top and a key hole escutcheon with a lock and key.

The caddy is in good condition. (Circa 1790)
