A late 18th century to early 19th century Georgian mahogany veneered tea caddy.

The caddy has a hinged lid with a brass battle axe handle in the centre, is cross banded with tulip wood on all sides and has boxwood stringing.

The caddy lid has fan inlays in the corners and a circular inlay to match in the centre.

The front of the tea caddy has a mythical winged dragon inlaid into the centre of the mahogany panel.

The caddy is in very good condition, the interior has an old replacement foil lining and the box has a key. (Circa 1800)
