Betjemann's Patent Oak Tantalus

An early 20th century oak framed Betjemann's patent "The Tantalus".

The three square decanters sit in the centre with a row of six glasses to either side.

To remove the decanters there is a lock and catch to one side which when released lets the brass handle rotate to the side.

The decanters are square with chamfered corners and round cut stoppers.

The polished brass handle locks in the upright position and is stamped with a crown and "The Tantalus" on one side and "Betjemann's Patent 43897 London" to the other.

The tantalus has tapering corners with brass mounts to match.

The tantalus is in very good original condition. (Circa 1920)
