*AS SEEN ON ANTIQUES MASTER BBC2 5th July 2010*   A Beautiful Edwardian stationery cabinet.   The cabinet is made from mahogany and is marquetry inlaid to the top and front, the marquetry is in the shape of Cornucopia in the corners and baskets in the centre.   The cabinet has a lift up lid which has a leather pen holder fitted into it. The front pulls forward and folds out again into a wonderful leather covered writing area. The interior of the box has nine storage compartments for stationery and envelopes and has a pen holder and ink well in a box compartment that springs forward as the box opens.   There is some slight shrinkage in the top veneer which is only just noticable, although as quoted by Eric Knowles on Antiques Master "This is about as good as it gets". The polish and inlay is in very good condition. (Circa 1902)   Height 25.5cm (10 inches) Width 39cm (15.4 inches) Depth 18.5cm (7.3 inches)   This item has a level ONE shipping charge.
