A fine quality late 18th century mahogany Hepplewhite design turn over top card table.
This table has one dummy drawer in the front with brass ring handles and a rear gate leg that , when opened supports the hinged leaf. Hidden behind the gate leg is a drawer with a mahogany front, fine oak linings and a brass battle axe handle. When open, the table has an old baize playing surface with a mahogany edge.
The table stands on four tapering legs with a chamfered inner edge to make them appear finer. Each leg has a mahogany sock around 3cm from the bottom. (Circa 1795)
