An unusual George IV mahogany pedestal cabinet with a fall front door. The cabinet is veneered with very good quality flamed mahogany and stands on four turned mahogany bun feet. The front of the cabinet is constructed to look like two long drawers. Both have keyhole escutcheons, although the top keyhole is fitted with a small pin that lifts to release the clip and allow the front to fall forward to open. The front of the cabinet is bowfronted in shape, which gives this item an attractive and interesting appearance. A very good practical cabinet, ideal for a lamp of telephone in a hallway.
