An early 19th century Dutch marquetry inlaid cabinet with mirrored doors.

The cabinet is walnut veneered onto oak and marquetry inlaid with flowers, foliage and cupids around the doors and front frame.

The side panels are profusely inlaid with flowers, foliage, urns and exotic birds with a plinth and cornice inlaid to match.

The front of the cabinet has the pair of mirrored doors with fret work arches to the top and fine carved spiral decoration to the edges of the mirror.

The corners of the cabinet have matching carved spiral pillars terminating in a finial.

The interior has two adjustable shelves which can be taken out and the cabinet has a row of gilt brass hooks at the top for use as a hall wardrobe.

To the base of the Interior is a marquetry inlaid single drawer with oak drawer linings.

The cabinet is in good condition and has had the polish sympathetically restored, the two shelves are old replacements. (Circa 1830)
