A late 19th century French wall clock in a circular carved wood case.

The clock has an eight day movement with an hour strike on a spiral gong and the movement is signed 'Japy Freres & Cie Exposition 1855 Grande Med D'Honneur' on the back.

The dial has the Roman Numerals done in blue and white enamel shields with a carved centre and brass pointers.

The case is decorated with carved grapes and vines with a border of carved leaves surrounding the dial.

Access to the works is through a door in the back, they are in full working order and come with a one year guarantee provided by Robert Taylor & Son.

The clock case is in good condition though there is some mild damage to the edges of the carved vine leaves. (Circa 1880)
