George V Sterling Silver Rim Decanter


An early 20th century George V cut glass decanter and stopper.

The decanter has a dimpled design to the lower body and has a cut decoration around the shoulder.

The underside has a ground pontil mark and the neck has a sterling silver collar.

The silver has a hall mark for Birmingham, the year 1923 and the maker's mark for John Grinsell & Sons.

The silver neck also has a retailer's stamp for Wilson & Sharp Princes Street Edinburgh.

The decanter is in good condition. (Circa 1923)
