Georgian Hepplewhite Mahogany Wardrobe

A late 18th century Georgian mahogany Hepplewhite two door wardrobe.

The wardrobe comprises a cupboard top over a four drawer chest base.

The pair of cupboard doors have oval figured mahogany panels to the centre that are quarter veneered and have sun burst inlays to the corners and a moulded bead surround.

The two short over two long drawers are oak lined with brass swan neck handles and have a cock beaded edge.

The base has a double moulded edge into which the top sits and stands on ogee shaped bracket feet.

The cupboard top will have had trays in the past but now has a turned wood hanging rail.

The wardrobe is in good condition, the brass handles are replacements through the original holes. (Circa 1790)
