A pair of late 18th century Staffordshire pottery plates.

The plates have the impressed mark of 'Turner' which we believe is the mark of John Turner, Longton Staffordshire Potteries (1762 - 1806).

The plates have a reticulated edge with an impressed basket weave border and in the centre a blue Chinese decoration similar to 'Willow' pattern.

The plates are complete, though one does have an old restoration to the reticulated edge and both plates have 'Turner' impressed into the back with the number '5'. (Circa 1800)
