A 19th century oblong papier-mâché tray.

The inside of the tray is painted to simulate burr walnut and has a broad gilt border and rim.

The back of the tray has a registration kite mark for 6th March 1875 and is marked with the maker's stamp and model name 'Club Fine'.

The decoration to the top of the tray is in very good condition with a few marks while the edge of the tray in one corner has an old crack.

This tray came from the 'Hermitage Estate' in Hexham, Northumberland.
