A 19th century Victorian mahogany Winsor & Newton artist's paint box.

The box has large, gold embossed leather manufacturer's labels on the inside of the lid and in the brush compartment.

The box has a lift out tray with 24 assorted paint blocks and compartments for paint pots, brushes, crayons and charcoal etc.

The box has a slim lower drawer held closed with a brass locking pin that has a military style plate handle and holds an unused mahogany paint pallet.

The box is in good condition with the label reading "by appointment to Her Majesty and to T.R.H The Prince & Princess of Wales. 58 Rathbone Place London". (Circa 1870)
