A 19th century Victorian rosewood veneered games box.
The lid is inlaid with mother of pearl playing cards and a foliage border and box front.
The interior is red lined and divided into compartments to hold playing cards, counters and other equipment.
The box contains five full sets of playing cards, two ivory and two wood whist counters, an old pencil and rubber and two turned ebony screw lid containers.
The box is in good condition with a lock and key, the playing cards have been used. (Circa 1880)
