A 19th century Victorian card case.
The case is veneered with diamond shaped mother of pearl panels, the sides of the case are slightly bowed and the inside edge of the box is a thin veneer of ivory.
The interior of the case has it's original if slightly worn velvet lining and on the top of the lid is a silver metal mount.
The box is in original unrestored condition and the hinge and locking catch work well. (Circa 1880)
