Rosewood Sewing or Needlework Box
A mid 19th century rosewood sarcophagus shaped needlework or sewing box.
The box has a hinged lid that opens to a fitted out interior with storage compartments, a pin cushion and the underside of the lid has a drop down letter storage folder.
The box stands on four flat bun feet and is in excellent condition, the interior has some wear from use and the lock has a key but does not work. (Circa 1850)
