An 18th century George III Chippendale mahogany tea caddy.

The caddy is veneered in figured mahogany with box wood edge and has a decorative band of inlay to the lid and bottom edge.

The caddy has original ogee shaped feet and a gilt brass battle axe handle to the lid.

The interior has three tea storage compartments with three lids that sit on top and each lid has a gilt brass battle axe handle.

The inner edge of the caddy is raised to help make an air tight seal when the lid closes.

The caddy is in excellent condition but has no key. (Circa 1770)
