A fine example of an Edwardian oak cased aneroid barometer.

The barometer has a thermometer with an unusual curled reservoir and is held in an oak glass fronted case.

The silverised dial is behind a glass face has the barometric readings and the retailer's name 'R & T Johnson Darlington'.

The dial also has a single arm that points to the present air pressure and unusually two extra arms, one to show the pressure the day before and the other to the current day's pressure which are moved manually.

The barometer is in good working condition, below the thermometer is a presentation plaque - "Presented to Mr R Hugill by the Sockburn Cricket Club on the occasion of his Marriage June 30th 1904". (Circa 1900)
