Georgian Quarter Strike Grandfather Clock

A late 18th to early 19th century Scottish Georgian mahogany grandfather clock.

The clock has an eight day movement that strikes the quarter hours on three bells.

The mahogany case has a long broad door that is cross banded and box wood inlaid, the base is inlaid and banded to match.

The dome top hood is decorated with brass balls and an eagle and to each side of the door is a reeded quarter column.

The Circular dial is silverised and is inscribed with the maker's name "George Brown Edinburgh".

The eight day movement has a large hour strike bell and a row of three small bells which strike one for quarter past the hour, two for the half hour and three for quarter too the hour.

The clock is in good full working condition, the works come with a one year guarantee.
