An early 19th century late Georgian Scottish mahogany cased Grandfather clock.

The clock has an eight day hour striking movement, the case is cross banded with rosewood and line inlay and has quarter columns to the main body.

The painted dial has a scene of a Georgian lady reading a letter with a dog at her feet and exotic birds are painted in the corners.

Painted across the middle of the dial is the maker's name and location 'Alexander Low Errol' and on the inside of the door are three paper labels with details of the maker and previous owner.

The clock has been sympathetically re-polished, the works have had a full overhaul and come with a one year guarantee. (Circa 1830)
