Unusual Burr Elm Grandfather Clock
An early 19th century Scottish Grandfather clock with an unusual burr elm case.
The clock has a painted dial with the name "Geo Lumsden Pittenweem" in the centre with flowers, foliage and gilt decoration to the top and sides.
George Lumsden was apprentice to the famous John Smith of Pittenweem (1770-1816).
The clock has an eight day works that strikes on the hour and has a painted scene on the pendulum.
The amazing burr elm case is solid elm with an oak panel behind the door.
The clock is in good condition and fully working. (Circa 1840)
