A set of late 19th century W & T. Avery Ltd of Birmingham beam scales.
The scales are in an Arts & Crafts style with a black and gilt decorated steel frame and brass pans.
The scales have a lever to the front which lifts the pans off the surface so that the balance works.
The scales come with a graduated set of seven brass weights.
The scales are in original working condition. (Circa 1890)
