Cox's Companion Medicine Chest
A 19th century apothecary box "Cox's Companion to the Family Medicine Chest".
The mahogany box is packed to overflowing with bottles, tools, scales, threads, needles, measure, mortars & pestles and a glass mixing tile.
There are many extra pieces that have been pushed into gaps, a thermometer, horn spatula, knife, funnels and measures.
The box comes with Cox's book of contents and doses, the back of which has paper labels to cut out and stick on bottles.
The fine quality box is almost unused with many bottles still having their paper seals intact.
The apothecary box is one of the best I have ever had and in very good condition. (Circa 1850)
