George III Mahogany Bureau Bookcase

18th century George III mahogany Bureau Bookcase with an architectural broken pediment.
The bookcase top has a two astragal glazed doors with three adjustable shelves that have a mahogany concave and reeded front edge.

The top has dental mouldings to the cornice and  broken pediment which has a turned mahogany urn in the centre.

The bureau base has four graduated oak lined drawers that have their original brass swan neck handles.

The bureau flap has two pull out supports on which to rest when open and the interior has eight oak lined drawers with brass battle axe handles, four pigeon holes and a central cupboard.

The cupboard and reeded side pillars all put out as one to expose two hidden drawers behind.

The bureau stands on shaped bracket feet and has keys for the glazed top, interior cupboard and flap.

The bureau bookcase is in good condition.
