Betjemann's Patent Book Slide

A Victorian pollard oak veneered Betjemann's patent adjustable book slide.

The book slide has folding flaps at each end that slide open to hold more books and have shaped carrying hand grips at the top and gilt brass mounts.

The book slide has gilt brass brackets underneath to give extra support that are signed 'Betjemann's Patent 6393'.

The centre of the slide has a brass retailer's plaque for 'Valentine Dundee'.

The book slide is in working order and in good condition, the pollard oak veneers have a very good colour and grain.
