Four George IV Rosewood Chairs
A set of four early 19th century George IV rosewood Gillows of Lancaster design chairs.
The chairs are very high quality made from solid rosewood apart from the front and back rails.
The top rail has scroll and acanthus decorations to both ends and the centre rail is lappet carved and has a centre carved patera.
The chairs have turned, reeded and tapering rosewood front legs that have a carved disc to the top and square sabre back legs.
The chairs have large drop in pad seats that are upholstered in a pale gold patterned contemporary material.
These fine quality chairs are in very good condition an have a waxed finish. (Circa 1830)
