Georgian Mahogany Sabre Leg Chair
An early 19th century Georgian mahogany sabre leg elbow or arm chair.
The chair is slightly larger than normal with a shaped and scroll carved decorated top rail to the back and a curved and mould edged centre rail.
The arms curve and scroll down from the back and rest on short bobbin turnings.
The front sabre legs have a reeded detail to match the top edge of the arms and the back legs kick out.
The chair has a removable pad seat that has a rouge coloured material upholstery and is screwed in place.
The chair is in good condition with a few old marks to the front rail under the seat pad. (Circa 1810)
