Antique Chest of Drawers

We always have a large range of Antique 18th century, 19th century and 20th century chests, from the early 18th century Georgian oak dower chest to the large George III mahogany chest on chest or Tall boy. Miniature chests made as apprentice pieces in rosewood and mahogany or Victorian Childs chests for children to play with their dolls with.

• Antique Trunks

Trunks, Kists, Dower chests and linen chests made in the late 17th century to the early 20th century Edwardian period are the lift up lid variety of chest used to store rugs, linen or nowadays toys or bedding ect. We have Victorian camphor wood trunks with brass bindings used when we had an Empire to travel a round, the camphor smell keeping insects from eating what’s inside. We have sold many of these to use in bay windows at the end of beds and as an antique version of the coffee table.

• Antique Chests of Drawers

Antique Chests of Drawers, 18th, 19th and early 20th century chests we always have in stock mostly in mahogany but also walnut, oak, satin birch, teak and padouk. The Georgian mahogany chests are great value for money with excellent timber used for the chest and drawer linings. Victorian chests are at a more affordable price , made from mahogany, satin birch and walnut.

We also stock Georgian style chests in walnut and mahogany, made in the antique style but smaller than the originals, this some times making them easier to fit into your house. We only choose the better quality and style copies with good colours to the timber.

• Antique Campaign Chests

Antique Campaign or Military chests are popular, in camphor wood, oak, walnut and padouk. The unknown travels and  history that is seeped into these makes them exciting to  own with their brass bindings and military plate brass handles most splitting into two parts and the feet unscrewing for transportation around the globe.

• Antique Chest on Chest

Georgian chest on chest or High boys in mahogany, oak or walnut are mostly made in two parts although you some times have one with a separate cornice. The tops with two or three small drawers over three graduated long drawers, the base with three graduated long drawers. Standing on bracket feet they can be used in reception and dining rooms as well as the bedroom.
