Barrel Shaped Miniature Walnut Chest
An unusual early 20th century barrel shaped walnut chest of drawers.
The chest has been constructed with wood salvaged from what was originally an early shooting brake car.
An 'Argyll' made in Glasgow was the car in question and was used to make the chest in an army camp during the first World War.
The chest contains a letter detailing the circumstances of how the chest came to be.
The drawer fronts, sides and top are all solid walnut with pine drawer linings and brass ring handles.
The chest is in good condition. (Circa 1915)
