Late 17th Oak Dower Chest
A late 17th to early 18th century oak dower chest.
The chest is panelled to all sides with four to the front and back, two to the sides and the hinged lid is constructed from six panels.
The lid has a pair of original steel hinges and a steel clasp lock with a working key.
The chest is in unrestored condition and its narrow depth make it ideal for use at the foot of a bed or under a window. (Circa 1700)
