Georgian Mahogany Urn Stand
An 18th century Georgian mahogany oval urn stand.
The oval top is cross banded and box wood strung with a raised laminated gallery.
To the front of the stand is a pull out slide with a brass battle-axe handle, the slide would have been used to stand a cup on when used with an urn.
The stand has four tapering splayed legs with box wood edges that are joined by serpentine shaped cross stretchers with a turned urn in the centre where they meet.
The legs stand on gilt brass ball feet and the stand is in good condition.
