Regency Pedestal Sideboard
An early 19th century Regency mahogany pedestal sideboard.
The sideboard has four claw feet to the front and four turned legs at the back.
The serpentine shaped back has a reeded detail to the circular rosettes, a domed centre and serpentine moulding.
The sideboard has a deep cellaret drawer at each end, a long bow fronted drawer in the centre with a long bow and concave front disguised drawer underneath.
The drawers are mahogany lined, the cellaret drawers have six divisions in each for bottles and all the handles are Regency style replacements, in keeping with the period.
The tapering cupboards have a flame mahogany veneer to the centre panels with ebony line inlay, inside is a single loose shelf and all the doors have working locks and keys.
The sideboard has a figured mahogany top with a rounded edge and two mahogany plate rests.
The sideboard is in very good condition with replaced handles and the long top will lift off the pedestals for transport.
