An early 20th century cast iron and brass set of domestic scales.
The scales have "J White & Son Auchtermuchty" cast into the metal weighing plate, along with a transfer label on the upright stating 'Established in 1715' and stamped on the brass weighing bar.
The scales have a brass weight register bar at the top with the sliding counterweights and fine adjustment slide.
The scales are in good working condition and register the weight in pounds. (Circa 1910)
