George IV Mahogany Fire Screen
An early 19th century George IV mahogany fire screen.
The screen has a needlework panel of a basket of flowers held behind glass in a mahogany frame and a silk backing on the opposite side.
The screen has a pair of carved shaped legs to each end with a serpentine cross rail and fluted turned upright supports that have carved and scrolling decoration.
The screen is in very good original condition, the silk backing has minor shrinkage marks. (Circa 1835)
