Georgian Reading Music Stand
An early 19th century Georgian adjustable mahogany reading or music stand.
The stand has an octagonal top with line inlay, a removable book rest and at the side a brass candlestick arm.
The top can be adjusted in height and the angle can be locked in place by a brass arm support.
The stand has a tripod base with inlaid legs and raised on small bun feet.
The turned column has a urn shape to the base and decorative turned rings.
With the rest removed the stand can be used as a lamp table.
This fine music stand is in good condition, the removable rest is a replacement made from period wood. (Circa 1810)
