George IV Mahogany Hall Table


An early 19th century George IV mahogany hall or console table.

The table has a pair of platform supports with tapering reeded and lappet carved front legs.

The table has two disguised mahogany lined drawers to the front that are flame mahogany veneered, one two thirds width the other one third width.

To the back left hand side is a concealed compartment with a gilt brass release button underneath which may have been for storage of a chamber pot.

The table is made from very good quality timber and is in good condition.

The table has a glass preserve for the top if wanted. (Circa 1830)
