Two 18th Century Side Tables

Two 18th century mahogany side tables taken from the estate of the Duke & Duchess of Northumberland.

The two Georgian side tables are almost a pair and most probably came out of the same workshop as can be seen by their construction.

The tables have an oblong top with a rounded moulded edge that overhangs to the front and sides.

The slim drawers have a cock bead edge, oak drawer linings and knob handles.

The tables stand on square legs with a chamfered inner edge and have a moulded corner cross rail at the top.

The tables are in good condition and have been sympathetically restored, there is an inventory number inside one of the drawers.

This item has been used as a prop in the television detective drama "VERA" which is mostly filmed in Northumberland. The episode it will appear in "Blood Money" will be shown in 2020.
