William IV Rosewood Library Table

 

An early 19th century William IV period rosewood library table.

The table has an oblong top with a rounded mould edge and a slim disguised drawer at the front.

The drawer has fretwork decoration to the front and wonderful polished mahogany drawer linings.

To either side of the drawer is a carved rosewood scroll support, the reverse is identical to the front.

The table has three maker's stamps for G Mackie that are visible when the drawer is removed.

The table has a pair of shaped trestle end supports with decorative raised mouldings to the edge.

The trestles have shaped block feet which have casters underneath.

The table is in very good condition and made from quality rosewood and mahogany. (Circa 1835)
