19th Century French Rosewood Armoire

A 19th century French rosewood mirror door armoire by the Paris cabinet makers Moulin, signed on the reverse.

The large single door has a bevelled edge mirror, is serpentine in shape at the top edge and the reverse side is panelled in bird eye maple.

The door has a very good quality double throw brass lock and a working key.

The interior has four adjustable and removable oak and rosewood edged shelves with a maple fronted drawer below.

The armoire stands on four cabriole shaped legs with scroll toes and carved knees.

Between the front legs is a long oak lined drawer with a working lock and key.

The sides of the armoire are rosewood quarter veneered and cross banded.

The top is serpentine in shape and has a round edge mould profile.

The armoire is of exceptional quality throughout with oak linings and an oak panelled back.

The armoire is designed to completely dismantle for transport. (Circa 1870)
