Fine Georgian Mahogany Cheval Mirror

An early 19th century Georgian mahogany cheval dressing mirror.

The oblong mirror plate is held in a mahogany frame that has an ebony edge.

The mirror is suspended between a pair of decoratively turned mahogany supports by two gilt brass pins on which it rotates.

The cheval base has four sabre legs in two pairs that are joined by a turned cross rail.

The sabre legs are decorated with ormolu acanthus leaves at the knee and have gilt brass toes and casters.

The mirror is very good quality, all mahogany framed and in good original condition. (Circa 1810)
