George I Carved Walnut Mirror
An early 18th century George I walnut wall mirror.
The mirror frame has a scroll shaped top and base, the top curving backwards, and original brass candle sconces.
The bevelled edge mirror plate is 18th century, but not original, and surrounded by a carved and gilded slip.
The unusual brass candle sconces are spiral with a serpent's head gripping the candles holder and oval back plated that have a gadrooned edge.
This large mirror is in good condition with some restoration to the scroll carved edges top and bottom. (Circa 1720)
