Unusual Framed Wax Mirror

A very unusual Victorian oval dressing mirror.

The mirror is encased with a frame made from wax flowers and leaves the detail of which is amazing with each individual petal made from shaped and coloured wax.

The mirror is mounted on a gilt metal stand and is box framed. The box frame has a red velvet interior, is made from mahogany and has mirror plates so that it can hang on the wall.

The wax frame looks in perfect condition, protected behind the glass. (Circa 1890)
